The first silane manufacturer in China

HENGDA Chemical, headquartered in Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province. We are the first silane manufacturer in China since 1965.

In the early 1960s, the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences supported the research of amino silane coupling agents for fiberglass composite project. The institute synthesized a γ-amino silane coupling agent in 1965 and named it KH-550 (equivalent to A-1100). KH-550 was put into production in GAIXIAN Chemical plant (the predecessor of HENGDA Chemical).

Due to the strong demand in the market and with the trust of customers, HENGDA invested USD 52 million build a new production plant which is located in Bohai Industrial Park, a provincial chemical industry park in Shouguang City, Shandong Province, to expand products range.

The production lines in the new factory are equipped with DCS automatic remote-control operating system, SIS safety instrument system and other safety facilities, ISO9001 quality management system standards are implemented throughout the process to ensure stable quality. Environmental protection treatment facilities including waste gas collection and treatment system and sewage treatment system have been built.

HENGDA products include 3 series: Silane Coupling Agents, Cross-linking Agent, and Silicone Fluid.

· HENGDA Silane Coupling Agents cover 12 series: Amino silane, Methacrylate silane, Epoxy silane, Vinyl silane, Mercapto silane, Alkyl silane, Ethyl Silicate, Chlorine silane, Isocyanate silane, Phenyl silane, Ureido silane and Sulfur silane.

· HENGDA Cross-linking Agents includes Acidic Crosslinkers, Alcohol-based Crosslinkers, Ketoxime Crosslinkers.

· HENGDA Silicone Fluid includes Methyl Hydrogen Silicone Fluid, PDMS-Dimethyl Silicone Fluid, Vinyl Silicone Fluid, Phenyl Silicone Fluid, Silanol silicone Fluid/OH Polymer, and Alkoxy Silicone Fluid.

HENGDA products are widely used in glass fiber, paint & coatings, sealant & adhesives, XLPE Electrical cables and hot water pipes, electronics, wind power, oilfield drilling, textiles, rubber and casting, resin, defoamer, building protection, Self-lubricating LSR, cosmetic and personal care, etc. to improve the quality and performance of applied products.

Qingdao Hengda New Material Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2017 as a marketing and sales center for HENGDA Chemical’s domestic and foreign business.

Products are sold all over China, and exported to over North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Australia, South America, the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, Russia, Central Asia etc., well trusted by customers.

Hengda regards product quality as the lifeblood of enterprise development and pursues quality excellence. Quality Management System

Hengda is equipped with high-precision gas chromatograph, sulfur and chlorine analyzer, trace moisture tester, automatic potentiometric titrator, flash point tester, viscometer and Abbe refractometer. HENGDA has built customer focus in the quality management system. We guarantee that each batch of products meets the quality requirements, including purity, density, refractive index, chloride content, etc.
Technology R&D

Our Factory

Our Story

1965

Silane coupling agent HENGDA-E8133(KH‐550, A‐1100) were put into production in Gaixian Chemical Plant (the predecessor of HENGDA Chemical) in 1965.

1974

Mercapto silane were put into production in Gaizhou factory.

1992

In 1992, under the background of reform and opening up, we undertook the original technical backbone, hired senior experts in the industry to re-form technical team of silane coupling agent, and established Gaizhou Hengda Chemicals Co., Ltd.

2000

In October 2000, Hengda Chemical developed diamino silane coupling agents and epoxy silane, and opened up international market and sold worldwide.

2011

In July 2011, Hengda Chemical expanded its product range, realizing the mass production of new Methacrylate and Amino silanes including HENGDA-M2133 (equivalent to A-174), HENGDA-M8253 ( equivalent to A-1120, A1122 )， HENGDA-M8252 (equivalent to A-2120) and many other silane coupling agents.

2017

In November 2017, Hengda Chemical planned to integrate the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain and invested USD 52 million to build Shandong Plant with annual capacity 30,000 tons. In December, Qingdao Hengda New Material Technology Co., Ltd was established.

Development planning

Phase II project of 100,000 tons coupling agents.
This project will engage in cyclic utilization of the by-product hydrogen chloride to produce silane coupling agents, achieving environmental protection and a circular economy.
