3-Chloropropyltriethoxysilane is a chemical compound with the molecular formula (C₂H₅O)₃Si(CH₂)₃Cl. It belongs to the family of organosilanes, which are widely used as coupling agents and surface modifiers in various industrial applications.
Functional Group: Contains a reactive chloropropyl group (CH₂CH₂CH₂Cl) and three ethoxy groups (-OC₂H₅).
Reactivity: Hydrolyzes in the presence of moisture to form silanol groups (Si-OH), which can condense to form strong siloxane bonds (-Si-O-Si-) with surface hydroxyl groups.

Applications

 1. Main raw material for making HENGDA-Si69,HENGDA-E8133 and other silane coupling agents.

2. As a rubber processing aid, 3-Chloropropyltriethoxysilane is used to couple inorganic fillers in various halogenated rubbers, such as: chloroprene rubber, chlorinated butyl rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene and other halogenated rubbers , to improve various physical and mechanical properties.

3. Synthesis of organosilicon compounds containing quaternary ammonium salt cations, 3-Chloropropyltriethoxysilaneused as an anti-mold and deodorant finishing agents, and with special sterilization, deodorant, antistatic and surface activity.
