Thermally Stable and Non-Transferable Films
PVMS is a key ingredient in high-performance semi-permanent release coatings for polyurethane, epoxy, and composite molding. When formulated with an Si-H crosslinker and a platinum catalyst, it can be applied to a mold surface and cured into a thin, crosslinked film.

The resulting coating offers significant advantages:
High-Temperature Resistance: Withstands the exothermic heat of curing polymers like epoxy resins without degradation.
Multiple Releases: The robust, crosslinked network provides 50-100+ release cycles from a single application, depending on the substrate.
Low Interfacial Tension: Ensures easy demolding of complex parts with minimal force.
Non-Transferring: The cured film does not contaminate the molded part's surface, ensuring good adhesion for subsequent painting or bonding operations.
